A Validation of Affect and Apparent Usability Relationship Using Structural Equation Modeling
In this study the Usability Perception and Enhancement Model (UPEEM) was validated using Structural Equation Modeling. A case study was conducted to determine product attributes of a mobile phone that impact emotions and apparent usability dimensions. SEM analysis confirmed the UPEEM. Results from the path analysis indicated that presumed latent variables, emotional quality and apparent usability were significant predictors of desirability.
