The ergonomics research of classroom desks and chairs in Wuzi primary and middle schools
Through checking 3494 male and female students aged from 6 to 18 with 52 age sections in 2005 and making a comparison with data of spot checking in 1985, concluded that the variety tendence of the students height in primary and middle schools, predicted the height in 2010, 2015 and 2020.Through checking the functional sizes of the desks and chairs used in three primary schools, found out that the functional sizes of the desks and chairs had much difference with the national standard and the categories of the fixed desks and chairs were also fewer than those required by the national standard. Then proposed two projects of equipping the desks and chairs for schools which can enhance the match rate between the height of the students and the height of desks and chairs.
