KomNet and REACH-Net – Ezamples of successful consulting services concerning occupational safety and health
Service and knowledge management is an important factor of success for companies in nearly all kinds of business. Today, customers require custom-made consulting services from the economics and from public. But: Although more and more knowledge is potentially available, it becomes more difficult and more complex to find fast answers and solutions on individual questions. In order to solve this problem, special consulting services were developed. In 1997 KomNet (Network of Competence; www.komnet.nrw.de) was founded. In November 2006 REACH-Net (Helpdesk with the topic of REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals); www.reach-net.com) was founded. Both Internet-Platforms are mainly addressed to people dealing with occupational safety and health but are open for all people to ask questions and read the Question-Answer-Dialogues. REACH-Net offers answers and solutions to all questions around the REACH regulation. KomNet is a customer-oriented consulting service to all questions especially in the area of occupational safety, work organisation and qualification. Fast, comfortable and free of charge, specialised knowledge and experience of proven experts can be used. These experts are connected country widely in a virtual network and together are able to solve even difficult questions. That means: REACH-Net and KomNet finds the suitable experts for specific questions and requests. KomNet and REACH-Net are good examples of successful consulting services concerning occupational topics. The services could be recommended also for other countries.
