Ergonomics - Connotation and Implementation in the Automotive Industry
The goal of this study was to depict the connotation of the term “Ergonomics itself and the implementation of Ergonomics as discipline in the automotive industry. These aspects are closely connected and play a major role in the general understanding of the acceptance Ergonomics has in the industry. This relation also represents important challenges the discipline faces today. Moreover this study should contribute to the ongoing debate about the role of Ergonomics and help improve the product development process in the industry as well as the customers understanding of this discipline and its benefits.
