Suggested Evaluation Approach for Training in Ergonomics

The aim of this paper is to put forward an approach for evaluating the effects of training in ergonomics. The suggested evaluation provides feedback about the performance of such training in terms of how well it promotes ergonomics in companies. Evaluations are often used in ergonomics, but the chosen measurement indicators or methods sometimes undermine the above-mentioned objective. The paper first describes how training in ergonomics is usually assessed and the effects this has when the results are presented to company actors. This then leads into the proposed evaluation approach, based on trainers strategies, presented in the second part of the paper. The third chapter focuses on the effects produced by this evaluation approach. Finally, the last part suggests future developments for this kind of evaluation research
