An Operating Model for MSD-Prevention Intervention
A multiple-case study (Baril-Gingras et al., 2006; Yin, 1992) of ergonomics intervention aimed at preventing Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSD) led us to conclude that, in order to ensure sustainable MSD prevention, it was important to chose a good model showing how to prevent MSD. We will begin this communication with the criteria chosen to identify the model we deemed most conducive to promoting prevention. In the second chapter, we will present the model chosen along with its characteristics. In the third chapter, we will set forth the adjustments made to the model on the basis of lessons learned at the workplace. Finally, we will present conclusions regarding the limitations to our study and prospects for future work.
