ASSOCIATIONS BETWEEN HEART RATE VARIABILITY AT WORK AND RECOVERY DURING NIGHT AMONG YOUNG AND OLD EMPLOYEES

The aim of present study was to investigate the association between heart rate variability (HRV) at work and recovery during night in different age groups. Ambulatory heart rate (24-72 hours) was recorded and heart rate variability parameters were calculated among 69 subjects in the age between 22-57 years. The main finding was that, although the older employees had lower strain at work their recovery at night was lower than among the younger.
