Fall Arrest Systems - Human Body Injury Thresholds
The existing limits on the exposure of the human body to transitory deceleration during an arrest of an accidental fall in North America and the European Union (8kN and 6 kN respectively) do not distinguish between the directions of the application of the Maximum Arrest Force (MAF) to the body. The author presents the research results and proposes the new limits.
