Customer’s behaviour and safety consciousness of different age groups with migration products by the ezample of hand machines and do-it-yourself devices

Since the introduction of the German Equipment and Product Safety Act (GPSG), the number of unsafe products (which are registered by the market monitoring) increased. Simultaneous, the number of recalls, particularly by manufacturers in Germany, increased as well. The development and the production of high-quality as well as safe, ergonomic and environment-friendly products are (in opposite to unsafe products) mostly connected with higher development expenses and production costs as well as with higher production monitoring expenses. The development during the last years from a “manufacturers market (oriented on offers) towards a “buyers market (orientated on the demands by the decision of the customers) contributed to the fact, that products with a higher safety standard and a higher environmental compatibility are offered increasingly in the market. Therefore, the subject of this examination was to analyse the customers behaviour, using the example of hand machines and do-it-yourself devices, to examine the value of the factors mentioned above, in relation to other purchase-affecting values.
