IDENTIFICATION OF POSSIBLE PHYSICAL RISKS THAT THE ENVIRONMENT IN THE LAUNDRY AREA OF AN INDUSTRY OF ANIMAL PRODUCTS CAN OFFER TO ITS EMPLOYEES
The present study was performed in a laundry dealing with clothing from a company making food products of animal origin, located in Zona da Mata Mineira/ Brazil. Evaluation of the environment through measurement of the temperature, noise, relative humidity of the air, ventilation, and illumination was carried out, as well as an evaluation of the equipment in situ. For the measurement was used (I)ndice Bulbo (U)mido (IBUTG), decibilímetro, higr(o)metro, anem(o)metro, luxímetro respectively. The temperature in the afternoon reached 27 ℃, surpassing the limit recommended by the NR-15 for activities considered moderate such as laundry, which is 26.7 ℃ and is therefore required the adoption of breaks during the activities. The noise level ranged from 50 to 105 dB (A) -continuous noise -, also exceeding the tolerance limit set by the NR-15, 85 dB (A).Regarding the level of the illumination, this one was considered sufficient for the fulfilled activities, however the ventilation and the relative humidity of the air were considered unsuitable. With the accomplishment of this study it was possible to see that, the ambient conditions in a laundry dealing with clothing from a manufacturer of food products of animal origin, influence directly the worker health, and, consequently, the quality of the final product of the industry.
