Human Ergological Approach to Career Transition of Professional Athletes in Japan

The purpose of this study is to clarify the career transition of professional athletes, which is approached from the viewpoint of human ergology.The fields of human ergology includes anthropology,physiology,psychology, ergonomics, labor sciences, physical education,biomechanics, human living sciences, health sciences, rehabilitation, nursing, etc. That is to say, there are many fields of human biology devoted to the study of how humans have adapted to recent rapidly changing living environments. In this study, the relationship(crunode) between ergology and each field of physical education are considered. As the results, the characteristics of HES which would approach to physical/biological side of human being were clarified. At the same time, the crunode to the physical education was found, too. However, it is sure that mental/psychological side of human being is not considered very much. Consequently, when it comes to career transition of professional athletes, it is necessary to consider career from the whole perspectives of human being. It will be right raison detre of human ergology and it is critical to put basic axis for the self-recognition training, taking both physical/biological and mental/psychological side of human being into account. In the context of human ergology, the viewpoint of not only outplacement but also compound eyes is very important for career transition of professional athletes.
