VISUALIZATION FOR PRECISION DESIGN OF MECHANICAL ASSEMBLIES
In this paper a visualized precision design system is presented, which was designed through principles of graphics, combined with previous studies. To take full advantage of previous studies, existing approaches to each step of precision design are chosen and integrated into the systems. To provide an intuitional design process, in the precision design systems engineering, both the tolerance modeling and associated precision design information are visualized in the form of figure. Application of precision design visualization can at a minimum allow designers to see the effects of tolerances and thereby enable them to address key factors for tolerance analysis, synthesis or optimization. The immediate goal of this paper is visualization, precision design information is shown by figures rather than digital data. The essential goal is to advance precision decisions to being an easier engineering.
