AGENT BASED COLLABORATIVE VISUALIZATION ENVIRONMENT BY USING GRASPED IMAGE OF PRODUCT MODEL
With the globalization of industry and worldwide demands driven on enterprise, collaborative working during product design becomes more and more complex. This paper investigates web based collaborative production system to realize information exchange and cooperative visualization cooperation of purduct model for collaboration among complex concurrent processes. A mobile agent based communication environment is establised by using Mobile-C platform. Communication tools of Instant message and visualization and annotation of grasped image of product model can enable distributors to carry out real-time communication. Grasped image based product model transmission and co-visualization scheme is used to build up an efficient approach to solve the transmission problem of large-volume product model through Internet. A prototype with graphics user interface on the both sides of local and remote agents is developed. A collaborative mesh simplification process is carried out on the developed prototype, which proves the high efficiency, flexibility and robustness of the developed collaborative environment.
