AN IMPROVEMENT PRODUCTION PLANNING METHOD FOR PROCESS INDUSTRIES

A production planning system for process industries will by definition be very different to a system devised for discrete manufacturing industries.It is particularly important to develop ways to solve the problems of unexpected requirements, planning inadequacies and capability balances. By analyzing demand forecasts models, equipment production capacity and maintenance control models, this paper presents a modeling strategy and a process industries-oriented production planning optimization method that focuses on minimizing inventory costs, and optimizing production load rate & balance load rate. The strategy first discusses an inventory control strategy to meet the needs of demands uncertainty, and minimize the cost of inventory management. The problems of ascertaining total planning demands and production lead times are also illustrated. Finally, the production planning system optimization objectives function is constructed, working under given constraint conditions.
