A STUDY ON RESOURCE LEVELING UNDER UNCERTAIN PROCESSING TIME
In past researches of resource leveling, they were done by using the evaluation function to make the total number of workers constant in time progress as much as possible, and the start time of each activity had been decided. However, the processing time and the start time of an activity expected at first often are changed by fluctuations on an actual production site. As a result, the value of the evaluation function for actual data reflected by fluctuations often differs greatly from it for the optimized data of resource leveling based on the predicted processing time. Then, the aim of this paper is to propose the technique of the buffer inserted when the resource leveling is done.
