PROPOSAL OF THE PRODUCTION FLOW SIMULATOR

In following research project the emphasis is put on the improvement of effectiveness of production flow in unit production where very complex engineering products are made on the make-to-order policy. The production cycle in such environment is relatively long and can last from few weeks up to many months. One of the goals of following project is to develop a simulator which would make it possible to study the effectiveness of the multi-variant logic of production flow and the effectiveness of corrective actions taken in order to handle production disturbances. This paper presents the initial stage of research project regarding development of the methodology for effectiveness assessment of the multi-variant logic of production flow as well as corrective actions taken in the case of production disturbances. The requirements for the design of the production flow simulator are discussed. The paper defines model of production system, setting parameters, input data and expected effects.
