ONTOLOGY ASSISTED MULTI-AGENT SYSTEM NEGOTIATIONS IN VIRTUAL ENTERPRISE
A virtual enterprise (VE) involves the coordination of collaborative partners in the supply chain network. VE partners have to negotiate to achieve mutual gains as well as ultimate customer satisfaction. In the era of knowledge economy, knowledge plays an important role in VE negotiation. This research is to propose an ontology assisted approach to realize automatic negotiation in the VE. The contribution of this paper is in two aspects. On one hand, an ontology scheme is established for VE partners knowledge sharing and knowledge utilization. The proposed approach includes ontology construction, ontology integration, ontology mapping and ontology based fuzzy pattern recognition. On the other hand, a multi-agent system is proposed to reach system agility for VE partners negotiation and operation. Finally, a case study is introduced to evaluate the feasibility and performance of the proposed approach and system framework.
