A NEGOTIATION-BASED MULTI-AGENT SYSTEM FRAMEWORK FOR VIRTUAL ENTERPRISES
This paper proposes a negotiation-based multi-agent system (MAS) framework for the organization and functioning of virtual enterprises. The virtual enterprise (VE), established through the collaboration of supply chain partners, is an effective way of business operation in the dynamic global market. To facilitate the functional integration of a VE, a MAS is proposed to model the supply chain network. The MAS comprises agents with respect to different functions and roles of the VE. The agent negotiation mechanism is designed to be an ontology-based hybrid argumentation-heuristic approach. The negotiation protocol is able to handle the one-to-many negotiation scenario with non-linear utility functions. Negotiation strategies are treated as combinations of concession tactics. Finally, experiments will be carried out to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed MAS framework and the negotiation mechanism.
Multi-agent system automated negotiation virtual enterprise ontology.
