THE IMPACT OF THE RFID IMPLEMENTATION IN MAKE-TO-ORDER SUPPLY CHAIN
The traditional inventory management depends on manual counting with the help of barcode. But it is timeconsuming and the error rate is more than a certain. Many companies expect that implementing radio frequency identification (RFID) technology can bring the efficient inventory management. Hence, this study discusses the effect and the efficiency that the RFID system makes to the whole physical logistics in the make-to-stock supply chain model. The study uses System Dynamics approach to construct the supply chain model for the logistic management and analyzes the interactions between elements within the supply chain after the RFID implementation. From the results, the implementation of RFID can decrease the problems which including production delay, delivery delay, and stock-taking delay and raise the efficiency of whole physical logistics.
