ENHANCING SUPPLY CHAIN INTEGRATION WITH DSS
The paper focuses on supply chain integration between suppliers and customers. The study presents a framework that enables decision makers to analyze and select areas for integration and cooperation effectively. In addition, the framework is used for setting joint targets and action plans in order to achieve identified mutual benefits in for example inventory management. The proposed framework is an effective tool for customer-supplier integration, as it helps both the customer and the supplier understand the objectives, constraints and processes of the other party, and thus increases the possibilities of achieving consensus on the way forward. The decision support methods the group support system and the analytic hierarchy process are discussed as suitable tools for using the framework effectively.
