AN ANALYSIS OF CONSUMER STORE EVAVUATION AND CHOICE BEHAVIOR

In the flow of product supply chain system, retail store is defined as a main outlet of the chain and a main physical contact point of consumers. Focused on food supply businesses in Japan, retailers operate many formats and they are involved in competitive and coexistence situation. Therefore store evaluation scheme based on consumer purchase is important for understanding and customizing this situation. This study focus on consumers and has three parts: (1)abstracting the key factors of consumer evaluation of food stores, (2)clustering consumer behavior of food store choice, (3)analysis store evaluation and store choice behavior by applying a consumer store choice model. The results are the followings. Seven main factors are abstracted for evaluating food retail stores. The factors are related to the consumer store choice behavior. And some set of choice factors and values are estimated between different consumer segments.
