EVALUATION OF ROBUSTNESS OF SUPPLY CHAIN CONFIGURATIONS BY MATLAB SIMULATION
This paper presents the results of Supply Chain configuration robustness analysis. The focus here is the evaluation of the impact of various external factors on the robustness of alternative Supply Chain configurations, modelled using Matlab. The paper presents firstly the concepts and methodology used for robustness evaluation. It then describes briefly the Supply Chain model and architecture developed for evaluating alternative configurations. The model includes several external factors influencing the measured Supply Chain performances. These are typically customer demand, currency exchange rate, transportation cost, etc. The proposed approach is then applied to a real industrial case to evaluate the robustness of alternative Supply Chain configurations. Finally the obtained results are discussed and perspectives for further development of the proposed approach presented.
