Application of an enhanced PSO algorithm to optimal tuning of PID gains
In this paper, an enhanced particle swarm optimization algorithm with more information and other PSO variants were applied to optimal tuning of Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) parameters for a typical PID control system. The digital simulation results show the enhanced PSO algorithm has stable convergence characteristic and good computational ability, and it is an effective method for optimal tuning of PID gains.
