Study of Road Surface Profile Based on Mazimum Entropy Methods

The classical road spectrum estimation (FFT) is often used to deal with the data in traditional road spectum testing. The test datum after windowed often leads to side-lob, false peaks and low precise analyse result. This paper uses the maximum entropy method to cope with the road response spectum signal, analyzes the effects of the AR modeling order choosing to the road spectum estimation, gets the reasonable order, studies the energy distribution of measured grade-C road spectum and compares the difference between the classical FFT spectrum estimation and the maximum entropy estimation. The research result shows that the maxinum entropy estimation has special advantages of high resolution and little peak deviation. Using the method to deal with short records road spectum signal not only overcomes the defects of classical road spectum estimation, but also be easy to realize in projects.
