Dynamic Soft-sensor Based on Finite Impulse Response Model for Dual-rate System

In dual-rate sampling systems, variables which represent product quality are infrequently and irregularly sampled. Often, the intersample behavior of these quality variables can be inferred from manipulated variables and other process variables which are measured frequently. Using the finite impulse response (FIR) model, a dynamic soft-sensor based on Output Error (OE) Method is developed to predict the immeasurable outputs of the quality variables. In this paper, we present such a dynamic soft-sensing method based on dual-rate data. The performance is also verified through a simulation example and industrial case study.
