Comparison on Control Strategies of the Grid-side Converter of Variable Speed Constant Frequency Doubly-fed Wind Power Generation System
Direct power control, vector control based on d-q synchronous rotating reference frame and - static reference frame for the grid-side converter of variable speed constant frequency doubly-fed wind turbines are analyzed. System simulation model with MATLAB is established, and control performances with three strategies are compared by simulation. Simulation results show that vector control based on - static reference frame is a simple and feasible control strategy which could achieve active and reactive power decoupled control and stable the DC-link voltage.
