Active vibration control for nonlinear vehicle suspensions based on successive approzimation approach

The problem of optimal vibration control for vehicle active suspension systems under road roughness disturbance is considered. Firstly, the nonlinear models for two-degree-freedom quarter-car suspension system and road roughness disturbance are built. Then, based on the theory of successive approximation approach (SAA), the nonlinear optimal control law is designed. A state observer is constructed to make the feedforward compensator physically realizable. Numerical simulations illustrate the effectiveness of the optimal control law.
