Photosynthetic Yield Model and the Response to Environmental Factors for five Mangrove Species
A photosynthetic yield model at leaf level was constructed with the response of photosynthesis of mangroves to environmental factors as a main clue. Using five mangrove species, Bruguiera gymnorriza, Avicennia marina, Aegiceras corniculata, Kandelia candel and Excoecaria agallocha as the test materials, the characteristics and rationality of the response of photosynthesis to environmental factors, including solar radiation, temperature and concentration of CO2, were investigated with the model. Analysis of the physiological data of leaves of these five species measured throughout the growing seasons indicated a good performance of our model in the simulation of the photosynthetic rates of mangrove plants. In addition, the quantitative relations between the leaf photosynthetic yield of the five mangrove species and environmental factors were disclosed according to the model.
