Mass transfer model of the wet flue gas desulfurization with lime

On the basis of the two-film theory, dynamical mass transfer model was deduced for the wet flue gas desulfurization(FGD) with lime, and the relation between the conversion ratio of calcium hydroxide(Ca(OH)2) and reaction time is set up. It is convenient for improving the residence time in the absorption tower in order to increase desulfurization efficiency and absorbent utilization ratio effectively. The calculation result of this model can be good agreement with experiment.This will offer the theoretical foundation for the wet desulfurization technology in practice. Meanwhile, it is proposed that hydromechanical performance study should be especially strengthened in the absorption tower in the future.
