Combination effects of acoustic field and humidity on removal of inhalable particles
The removal efficiency of inhalable particles was investigated in standing-wave field, with a sound pressure level varying from 100 to 130 dB and a frequency varying from 200 to 3500 Hz. A diluted gas flow through a humidifier was employed to adjust the humidity of the agglomeration chamber. Experimental findings indicated the combination of sound field combined with proper gas humidity could reduce about 28.6% of inhalable particles. This Value was obtained in a sound field with the frequency of 1416 Hz and sound pressure level of 127.5 dB at 40% relative humidity in acoustic agglomeration chamber.
