Study on Moulding Process of Woodceramics Without Formaldehyde Emission
Formaldehyde release not only pollutes indoor environment, but also severely impairs health of human body. Therefore, a novel technology using the mold pressing was introduced to realize binderless agglutination in wood-based panel and to earnestly safeguard the health of consumer and the indoor environment. Thermo-gravimetric analysis and conventional measurement were performed to determine the physical and mechanical properties of woodceramics body. The results show that temperature, time and pressure of moulding process all have significant effect on physical-mechanical properties, and that the mechanical properties of new binderless woodceramics body is superior to traditional medium density fiberboard.
