The detection and environmental significance of 5′- phenyl-1、1′:3′、1″-terphenyl from the atmosphere in Beijing
5′-Phenyl-1、1′:3′、1″-terphenyl (m-TBP) was detected in aerosol samples of different function areas in Beijing for the first time, and was also detected in aerosols collected during the 29th Olympic games. The concentration of m-TBP was relatively higher in the different function areas. The detection of m-TBP is not only related to rubbish incineration, but is also probably related to fossil fuel burning and plant incineration in Beijing. M-TBP is harmful for human health, so we should control and reduce m-TBP content in the atmosphere by first understanding its sources.
