Study on treatment of domestic wastewater by cinder infiltration columns
The study on degradation of domestic wastewater by the cinder infiltration columns was given in this paper. Four cinder infiltration columns were constructed, including two sorts of different filler altitudes and two sorts of different grain size fillers. According to the experiment, results indicated that the NH4 +-N,COD, tP and SS removal efficiencies of all the four devices were excellent, the removal efficiencies of NH4 +-N were 98.9%, 91.8%, 96.0% and 95.5%, respectively, and the average removal efficiencies of COD were 95.3%, 93.7%, 93.8%, 92.9% respectively, the average removal efficiencies of TP were 92.2%, 91.8%, 93.3%, 92.8%, respectively, but the removal effects of TN were not ideal, the pH value of each reactor turned into neutral gradually. The final treatment results of NH4 +-N and COD could reach the National Secondly and Firstly Discharge Standard, respectively.
