Catchment hydrologic response with a fully distributed rectangular network model
A physically based distributed model with incompact structure is built up by combining the advantages of the conceptual distributed model and the physically based distributed model. Its runoff generation module is based on the improved Green-Ampt infiltration theory, and its runoff concentration module is based on the concentration theory of geomorphological hydrology. In this model, the runoff generation method integrates Hortons and Dunnes mechanics, and considers the effects of soil moisture profile, soil anisotropy and terrain slope on watershed runoff formation. The runoff concentration method can consider the effects of spatial variability of rainfall and flow velocity on watershed runoff concentration. The simulation results in Yanduhe catchment of China indicate the model is feasible.
