Effects and Kinetics of Chlorine Diozide Removal Microcystin-RR
Microcystines (MCs) are well known as its hepatotoxins produced by blooms of toxin cyanobacteria(bluegreen algae) abundant in surface water used as drinking water resource and have drawn attention of environmentalists world over by the adverse health effects. The affects and the reaction character of ClO2 removing MC-RR were studied, and the results show that ClO2 can remove MC-RR effectively. When the reaction condition was 10℃ and pH 7.0, 96.03% of 100μg/L MCRR can be removed by 2.5mg/L ClO2 after 60min. The orthogonal test indicated that the removal affection is more influenced by ClO2 dosage and time, and less influenced by pH and reacting temperature. The reaction order of each reactant is first, and the total reaction order is second. The reaction rate constant is 583.15L/(mol·min). The activation energy is 53.01kJ/mol, meaning ClO2 can be applied to remove MC-RR in the drinking water.
