Heavy Metals Distribution Pattern in Coal Gangue
For assessment on heavy metals environmental security in coal gangue, coal gangue samples were collected from Xinwen mineral area which lay in Shandong Province of China. Tessier extractive experiments were carried out to check the heavy metals chemical species. Results showed that the chemical species of heavy metal distribution ranking sequence generally is residual沷rganic combinative>Fe-Mn oxide combinative>carbonate combinative > ion-exchangeable. Lead抯 amiable-move species were high in proportion, amounted to 40%. Total content of Cadmium is at low level, but its ion-exchangeable species is relatively high in proportion. Nickel and zinc is mainly distributed in residue. Cu is mainly distributed in residue and organic combinative form. The content of manganese is relatively high in coal gangue, and the carbonate combinative iron-manganese oxide combinative species are main chemical form. Cr is mainly distributed in residue, and its other chemical species are at low level.Red gangue and wash gangue from the same coal mine showed different metal distribution pattern.The lead抯 and cadmium抯 amiable-move species in gangue from coal washing plants are higer than that in red gangue.Compared with the soil background value of study area and Shandong province, the content of Cu, Ni, Zn, Mn and Cr in coal gangue is lower. While contents of Pb and Cd were higher than background value, and amiable-move species is relatively high in proportion. They are more apt to cause heavy metal pollution. So environmental influence of heavy metal, especially Pb and Cd, should be paid more attention to when we are utilizing the coal gangue.
