Application of Spatial Information Search Engine Based on Ontology in Public health Emergence
with development of Internet, search engine has been become an important information way for people to obtain information. Every time when a public health emergence happens, tremors demand for timely, accurate answers to spatial queries through the Web, for large numbers of information about this event will be published on the Web. However general information search engine do not support these kind of query very well. The main reasons are general information search engine treat all the query as keywords and keywords cannot completely express users need. So in order to support spatial information query in Public health Emergence, Spatial Information Search Engine searches and saves public health Emergence information on the Internet, and organize this information by that domain ontology. By domain ontology semantic, spatial informations semantic meaning can be formal expressed, users retrieval can be processed on the semantic layer, so that search engine can better understand users needs, and return result on demand. In this paper we propose a prototype system of Subject-oriented Spatial Information Search Engine, and take emergence public health hazards for example. This prototype can get Web pages from Internet, establish Webpage database, extract spatial information about emergence public health hazards from these Web pages, formally express this information by domain ontology and treat users input in semantic way.
