Research on Environmental Engineering Professional Training with Geological Characteristics
Environment science and engineering major has been established for more than 20 years in our country, and the research content on environment issues has been extended and specialized on the base of traditional major and advanced research ability in different universities, such as sewage wastewater treatment, air pollution control, groundwater pollution treatment and ecology recovery, etc. In 21 century, resource, energy, environment and disaster will be paid more attention and environmental professionals should be trained to solve these issues, which will turn the earth and environment science into a new interdisciplinary. So, on the base of traditional major in our university, such as geology engineering and mining engineering, the important direction for environmental engineering professionals training is cultivating more students with geological and mining knowledge and with the ability to protect the environment during mineral resources exploitation.
