Training of Innovative Translators: Connotation and Modes
The concept of innovative translator is proposed to enhance the development of translation studies in China. Innovative translators should be equipped with four characteristics, namely, innovation-bound knowledge, innovation-bound individuality, innovation-bound capacity, and innovation-bound morality. The training of innovative translators is different from that of foreign language talents, so some key issues are suggested to cultivate innovative translators in the context of globalization, including language proficiency, translation skills and translation technology.
