An Observation on Graduates Over-Education and Under-Education of Higher Education

With the intensive expansion of higher education in China in recent years, the question arises whether its graduates are being oversupplied to the labor market. This paper employs the first survey conducted in universities of China covering the questions of individuals personal characters, academic achievement, employment information and selfestimated qualifications required in jobs and intend to discover the incidence of over-education and under-education, what determines over-education and under-education and whether the stylized facts on wages hold in China.
