Band Structure Analysis of Liquid-crystal Photonic Crystal Fibers

摘要：

We have investigated the band structures of liquid-crystal photonic crystal fibers by using the finite-difference frequency-domain method. The gap maps of the photonic crystal cladding with the liquid crystal molecules aligned at variant directions can be successfully obtained. The characteristics of the band structures of the liquid-crystal photonic crystal fibers are also discussed.
