Modal Analysis of an Antenna Feed System for a Multimode Monopulse Radar
A modal analysis of a rectangular waveguide antenna feed system for a multimode monopulse radar is presented. Design guidelines as well as 3D EM models are built for sum, azimuth and elevation channels. Simulations for each channel and for the complete assembled system are carried out. Measurements of each channel are performed for different target positions in the 9-10 GHz frequency range. Measurements showed excellent agreement with analytical results which verifies simulations and design concept.
