SPECAN Azimuth Pre-processing for Bistatic Spotlight SAR Imaging
We expand the spectral analysis (SPECAN) convolution to support the generation of high resolution imagery over a large scene via bistatic spotlight synthetic aperture radar. An azimuth pre-processor overcoming the Doppler aliasing of the echoed signal is proposed. Since the spatial characteristics of the returns are preserved, the pre-processor is compatible with conventional focusing approaches. The proposed method is validated by simulated data.
