Research on the Tolerant Ice Storm in Urban Power-Supply Networks

This paper advocates that cable lines should be used in the urban network planning of important areas such as the urban center etc. The urban network structures which can tolerate ice storm are formed by ice storm tolerated designing and planning. The source problems of urban networks in ice storm are solved by involving the microgrid based on the distributed energy resource. The requirements of the source are: the source should be near from load center, no pollution and can connect to distribution directly, the source can be dispatched to finish the power supply in the conditions of ice storm, which also can be suitable for the economy and environment protection. The microgrid based on the distributed energy resource is the ultimate solution to solve the contingency source problems.
