A Security Indez of Distribution Networks Accounting for the Changing Structures
The characteristics of changing structures of distribution networks are discussed in this paper which indicates that the security index at present can only be compared with each other between the two grids (present grid and the one optimized), and whether the system is secure or not is evaluated afterwards. There is no fixed standard when comparing two diverse systems thereby. Taking the influences of various factors upon the security of distribution networks into consideration, the security index of changing of grid structures considering the increased load is proposed in this paper. Making full use of the independency of evaluation period of the severity index after faults and the characteristics of changing structures of grids, the index can sufficiently reflect the systematic capacity of meeting emergencies according to sudden accidents from the angle of the grid structures, as well as depict the degree of safety of distribution network grid structures after changed, which is the base of overall evaluation for the security conditions of distribution networks. The computation examples utilized in this paper analyzes and assesses the security of distribution networks with various grid structures, which proves the feasibility of the security index proposed. The security index can reflect the degree of security of distribution networks exactly and instruct the distribution planning staff.
