The interaction research between public grid and traction power supply system

Through extracting the typical characteristics of the common power grid, established the simulation model of typical utility power grid. The so-called typical utility power grid, means a regional power grid that the power quality problems are highlighted, in particular the electrified railway heavier load, and the power grid structure relatively weak, through a large amount of information to collect and collate.Including: (1) Decentralized traction load influence on the power system harmonics and negative sequence was simulated and actual test data was verified, the results show that the model established effectively; (2) Based on simulation model of typical utility power system transient analysis, studied transient effects (harmonics, voltage sag) of the typical utility grid affected by the system transformer and traction transformer inrush current after transformer energizing ; at the same time also studied typical utility power grid transient effects (including voltage fluctuation, etc.) caused by locomotive operation mode changes. With power quality comprehensive testing of Electric Railway traction load and typical utility grid, measurement and simulation results were analyzed, we verified that the electrified railway grid power quality is an important reason why pollution of typical utility grid, and the corresponding power quality improvement scheme. Finally, through PSCAD/EMTDC simulation,we got the result of the improvement. The simulation results show that: a substation installed SVC, its power quality has improved significantly, the level of harmonics and three-phase voltage imbalance decreased.
