The Development and Application of Power Transmission Management System Based on KML Technology
Intuitive and efficient power transmission system has played a very important supporting role to improve the quality and efficiency of high-voltage transmission network management. In recent years, there have been some power transmission management systems based on the traditional GIS (geographic information system) technology, which have played an important role to raise the level of power transmission management. But in generally, there are still many deficiencies such as heavy workload, high cost and etc in maintenance works. Transmission Division of Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau has developed a new fashioned power transmission management system based on KML technology and the Google Earth platform which is for free. Over the past several years, practice has proved that the system has the advantages of high degree of standardization, good security, easy to use and preserve, low construction cost and so on. It has been so widely applied in Transmission Division of Guangzhou Power Supply Bureau that it has significantly improved the efficiency and quality of the power transmission management.
