Synthesis of Nano-structures of Polyaniline Through Self-Assembly Method

1.Introduction The past decades polyaniline (Pani) has attracted considerable attentions due to its low cost, ease of synthesis, good optical and electrical properties with excellent environmental stability1. As such, Pani has potential applications as materials for light emitting diode, field effect transistor, sensor, electronic circuit board and fuel cell1,2. Methods widely employed for the synthesis of Pani nanostructures includes hard-template 3a, interfacial polymerization 3b, seeding 3c and electrospinning techniques 3d. In our study, chemical oxidation through self-assembly process of stable Ani/dopant acids was chosen for the synthesis of PANI nanostructures due to the simplicity and ease of this technique.
