Study of the Properties of Polyurethane-Waste Rubber Granulate Composites Obtained From The Use Different Polyurethane Prepolymers and of Regenerated Polyurethane Waste
1.Introduction Polyurethanes and rubber products are widely applied and present in all areas of our lives and economy. Popularity of the products received from polymers and rubber means that they require appropriate management after their utilization period,i.e.when they become wastes. One of the management possibilities concerning used products made of polyurethane foam is to subject them to chemical recycling process. In the glycolysis process we can receive polyols that may be reused in the production of polyurethane products. The growing quantities of car tyres and the limited possibilities of their storage on waste dumps, combined with the environmental and fire hazard and the fact that their disintegration takes from tens to one hundred years, has led to the situation where one of the most perspective methods of their management is their granulation in the form of rubber granulate. The obtained rubber granulate can be then reused in the production of, among others,urethane-rubber composites.
