Preparation and Application in The Photocatalytic Degradation of Iron Phthalocyanine/Fe3O4 Magnetic Nanocomposition
1.Introduction Phthalocyanine (Pc) is a particularly attractive family of well-known planar macrocyclic compounds with excellent physicochemical properties, including high aromaticity, associated with their 18 π-conjugated electron system and remarkable thermal, chemical stability as well as nontoxicity, which are known not only as classical dyes in practical use but also as modern materials in scientific researches as well as in application to catalyst, photovoltaic, nonlinear optical, solar cell, gas sensor and so on 1. Recently, some studies have already been made on the research of its application in the photocatalytic degradation of waste water 2~3. In our work, a novel magnetically separable photocatalyst Iron Phthalocyanine/Fe3O4 (Fe(Ⅲ)Pc/Fe3O4) nanocomposition was prepared by using organic-inorganic complex technique, and characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), which has been found to exhibit high catalytic activity with hydrogen peroxide for oxidative degradation of the model compound Methylene Blue (MB) under visible light irradiation. Moreover, as a co-friendly magnetic composite, the recovery of it, which still has high catalytic activity after several reactions, can be easily achieved by one external magnetic field.
